Steps and Preparation
Step 1
Weigh or measure the desired amount of coffee.
If you don’t have a scale, 1 tablespoon of coffee beans or ground coffee is about 5 grams of coffee.
Step 2
Grind the coffee to a coarse consistency and add the ground coffee to the container for brewing.
Step 3
Measure the desired amount of room temperature water and pour the water into container with the ground coffee, evenly saturating the coffee grounds.
Step 4
Stir with a spoon.
Let steep for 18-24 hours at room temperature.
Step 5
After steeping, line the mesh strainer with cheesecloth and strain the cold brew to remove the coffee grounds.
Step 6
Mix the concentrate with an equal amount of water to make a classic cold brew. The concentrate can also be mixed with milk.
For example, 6 oz concentrate mixed with 6 oz. water makes 12 oz. of cold brew
Step 7
Enjoy!
