We are proud that our entire product line of 12oz bags (including the core coffees and 321 Coffee X NC State bags) are 100% commercial and backyard compostable. Our bags are certified compostable by the Biodegradable Products Institute.

To compost these bags, please dispose of them with a commercial composting service or in your backyard compost.

Coffee Pods

The 321 Coffee you know and love is now also available in eco-friendly, compostable coffee pods for the perfect blend of convenience and sustainability. These coffee pods are thoughtfully crafted alongside our partners at GreenPods Coffee Packing with the environment in mind, providing you with a greener coffee experience. Unlike other coffee pods on the market, each coffee pod and its individual packaging are 100% commercial and backyard compostable.

To compost these pods, please dispose of them with a commercial composting service or in your backyard compost.

What does commercial and backyard Compostable mean?

All products certified compostable in the US will mention industrial compost facilities because no home compostable certifications currently exist.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t compost at home! In fact, both the coffee bags and coffee pods we are using not only meet industrial compost standards but can be composted right in your own backyard, too. Our bags and coffee pods can break down naturally in 90 to 180 days right in your backyard compost.
