The Roastery

Hand-drawn sketches of each of 321's roasters: Amanda, Matthew, Paul, and Sophie. Each smiling, Matthew holds a coffee cup with 321's logo on it.

Our team of roasters has been trained to roast amazing coffee. The 321 roasters consist of Amanda, Matthew, Paul, and Sophie (left to right).

This team is roasting coffee weekly to make sure that our customers are always getting the freshest product possible. Whether you order online or visit one of our shops, you can trust that you’re getting fresh coffee.

We roast our coffee on our very own Loring S15 Falcon. Loring is known in the coffee industry for the advanced technology it offers and the high-quality coffee it is capable of producing.

The best part? Our Loring roaster uses 80% less energy than a typical coffee roasting machine because it continuously recirculates hot air.

 Our coffee

Transparency is key in coffee supply chains. At 321 Coffee, we partner with De La Finca Coffee Importers for all of our coffees. Started by a fifth-generation coffee farmer from Honduras, Nelson Amador, De La Finca specializes in direct-trade relationships with coffee farmers like his family.

Direct-trade coffee aims to eliminate the intermediaries between consumers and producers. By creating real relationships with coffee producers in countries like Honduras, Guatemala, and Colombia, Nelson and his team aim to empower coffee farmers and their communities.

Have any questions about our coffee? Feel free to send us a message!

Sustainability + Composting

At 321 Coffee, we believe in doing business the right way. Beyond our mission around people, we strive to do our best for the planet in every way possible. You’ll find fully compostable coffee bags, coffee pods, cups, lids, straws, etc. in our shops, along with our refillable growler program to reduce plastic waste. We compost our used coffee grounds and other waste weekly.

Have an idea as to how we could be even greener? Let us know!

Oatly’s Big Idea Grant

In 2021, Oatly selected 321 Coffee as winners of their Big Idea Grant for Coffee! Oatly’s Big Idea Grant provides funding to small businesses, like 321, to pursue projects that move the coffee industry towards a more sustainable and greener future.

With Oatly’s support, we purchased a Ford E-Transit, a completely electric van, to build out our delivery and catering capabilities with the planet in mind.
